I believe the key technique here would be your vales as an author. You have to practice thinking outside the box. Do away with unconventional and predictable storyline. Be aware of cliché stories, characters, character developments, plot twists, turning points and the likes – you do not want to repeat them in your own story. A good suspense storyline is something that keeps its readers surprised and always holding on for what could possibly happen next. Keep your readers guessing, but of course saying so does not mean that you will put together random stuff and it will all be meaningless. A well developed suspense story is when you successfully divert your readers’ attention to what is really happening in the story. Put plot twists that will keep readers wondering about what’s going to happen next.
